The annual SEMA show in Vegas brings out the latest and greatest from the automotive industry including the likes of General Motors, Ford, and Chrysler. This year the Chevroelt Camaro was the official vehicle of the show, and GM brought several versions of the car to display including one powered by the Z06’s LS7 motor, an all-black V6, and a racecar concept with a paint scheme mimicking Mark Donohue’s 1969 Trans Am Camaro. Also in the GM booth were a pair of high performance Pontiac concepts including a G8 GXP powered by the LSX454 crate motor. Not to be outdone by GM, Chrysler brought several Challenger concepts including one with a Viper V10, a drift version that will be raced in the 2009 Formula drift season, and a Targa racecar version. Ford had a relatively conservative showing, with their main performance introduction being the new track-only FR500CJ Cobra Jet Mustang.
